Going Out

Going out if you have an invisible illness can be really difficult.
People don’t necessarily know that you’re struggling, and if they don’t know you’re struggling, then they can’t help you.

There are lots of ways to help you manage going out on a day-to-day basis. Different techniques will work for different people.

  • Sunglasses can help to create a barrier between you and everyone else.
  • It might help you to go to places with someone who understands how you might react to a situation.
